FOR OUR CANDLES
Therapy by scents
What's in a scent ?
We are all familiar with colour therapy whereby certain colours can help you to feel a certain way, and crystal healing where different gemstones have different properties to help heal, relax, energize and aid concentration just to mention a few benefits, but did you also know that fragrance can also have a positive impact on your mood?
Scent has been used to sooth and offer respite since even before the Ancient Egyptian times, and fragrant ointments were also used to treat ailments (aromatherapy) and so it is a great thought to know that even our Ancient ancestors used the same scents we do today in their daily lives and rituals. Frankincense is one of the oldest scents we know that has been used for healing benefits and has been burned inside homes for many years. Studies prove it can actually help to slow down our breathing and help give a sense of calm, just like the ever-popular Lavender. Who knew?
Have a look at our little handy guide and see which scents and fragrances can help benefit you from everything to helping to uplift a low mood, relax and unwind you, or help to give you more energy.
