Quick Christmas Recipe: Strawberry Santa’s

Happy holidays from all of us here at Sparkle Towers HQ! Oh what a year it has been! But let’s not focus on that. Team Alyssa have been hard at work putting together our first ever Christmas catalogue for 2021, full of lots of amazing content… including two gorgeous little recipes we just couldn’t wait to share with you! Whether you have or haven’t received one of our little catalogues this year, don’t worry! As we’ve decided to bring our scrumptious festive treats here to houseofalyssasmith.com as well! Yay!

We think you will all agree that the Christmas party spread needs to be full of delicious goodies that don’t take too long to make. All the energy that cooking a Christmas dinner takes needs to be reserved for the big day and the big day only! So, here at Sparkle Towers, team Alyssa has taken the liberty of creating a festive, speedy, healthy, yet delicious Santa snack for everyone to enjoy this Christmas!

What you will need:

Ingredients:

1 punnet of strawberries (find the biggest ones you can find. This will make the construction process easier!)

Whipped or clotted cream (we would recommend a thick consistency to avoid melting Santa’s!)

Some edible sparkles for decoration

Black drawing icing to create those little eyes! So cute!

Tools:

A sharp Knife

A chopping board

A nice plate for presenting them!

Optional: Some little cocktail sticks for easy picking at any Christmas party!

It is imperative that you thoroughly wash your little strawberry’s before you do anything!

Once your strawberries are squeaky clean, slice the tops off to give Santa a flat base to sit on.

Next, cut the strawberry in half so that you’re left with a flat bottom and little point to resemble Santa’s hat! Cute!

Once you have your sliced Santa’s, squirt your chosen cream onto the base and sandwich the two pieces together. Then squirt a small amount of cream onto the point of your strawberry to complete Santa’s amazing tiny hat!

Once all your Santa’s are formed, it’s time to add his little eyes! Fetch your black writing icing and pop two little eyes on him.

We do recommend working as quickly as possible to avoid melting Santa’s! But do try to just have fun with it! You should see some of our first attempts… and keep them refrigerated if you’re not eating them straight away.
