And we are talking about the whole experience from the beautiful jewellery or lifestyle gift you have chosen,
to the packaging and attention to detail that comes with it. We are passionate about actively working to reduce our carbon footprint
and the impact we have on the environment, as well as looking after you both before, during and after you have made your special purchases with us.

Gifting is everything (and so are first impressions!)
We offer gorgeous gift bags and polishing cloths for your jewellery, and a sustainable, re-usable gift wrap service which can be applied to most of our jewellery and small gifts too. The perfect finishing touch for that extra special gift.
If you would prefer minimal packaging with your jewellery because you have lots of our jewellery boxes already, then please just let us know at the checkout and we will package your item in a small pouch instead, where possible.
Our jewellery gift boxes are made from high quality cardboard and no animal products have been used in our boxes or suedette pouches.

Here at House of Alyssa and Alyssa Smith Jewellery, all of our wonderful jewellery is hand packaged by our lovely team with so much love and attention, and presented in our signature branded boxes or pouches. We have many types of boxes for our various in-house collections and brands, and even special packaging which pops up at special times of the year such as Christmas. Our vegan suedette pouches are one of our favourite forms of packaging, and are ideal for taking your most precious pieces away on mini breaks or holidays, or for storing your jewellery when space is precious.
We are well known for popping a little bit of extra ‘sparkle’ in along with our ladies jewellery too, in the form of gorgeous and biodegradable, ocean friendly confetti sparkles – resulting in added smiles when our jewellery is first opened (We think sparkles are simply magical!) But if you would rather we left the sparkles out of your jewellery order, just let us know at the checkout.
Our special home scents are packaged securely and safely, and will often feature little peanuts in the delivery box to help secure them in transit. These are fully biodegradable and you can simply run them under the tap to make them dissolve, just like magic!
At the heart of HOUSE OF ALYSSA SMITH
A lovely idea from Alyssa is to save your sparkles in a jar, and when it’s full- wrap some string and a tag around it, and label it ‘a jar of wishes’- this makes a great hand made, stocking filler gift for someone special!
We source as many eco-friendly products, and biodegradable plastics as possible, and many of our own manufacturers and partners also use biodegradable packaging to hold the raw supplies we purchase from them, too. We use recycled packaging and materials, and re-use and recycle where possible- including recycling our metal off cuts, which are melted back down to create more jewellery. Some of our jewellery itself is actually upcycled, and taken from used formula one cars to give it a new life. We try to either re-use, recycle or up-cycle where possible.
We are always working to improve, monitor and reduce our impact on the environment and have incorporated environmental factors into our business decision making as a company. After all, it is not a destination, but a continuous journey to learn and adapt to our environmental needs for our planet.
Sustainability is at the heart of our concerns here at House of Alyssa and Alyssa Smith Jewellery, and is something we all need to work together on to continue to make a difference.
No animal products are used in the making of our jewellery boxes or pouches, and we are proud to say that our gorgeous range of candles are vegan, cruelty free and contain no soy allergens or palm oil.
Should you wish to remove and discard the original gift box that your Alyssa Smith Jewellery pieces arrive in, then our boxes are recyclable (apart from the ribbon and insert) and are made from high quality cardboard, wrapped in papers. Our pouches can be recycled along with any unwanted clothing at a local clothing bank as they are made from a soft, vegan suedette material.
We have also kept our excess packaging on our tin candles to a minumum, so our candles will not arrive inside an extra box like many other brands of candles do. These boxes are often just wasted and thrown away, and so we have simply ensured our candles and other home gifts are only packaged inside an extra presentation box if we really need to do this.
You will often find our larger items have been padded out with white foam style peanuts. These are to protect your goods in transit so that they arrive with you safely, but these lovely little peanuts are kind to our planet and are fully biodegradable. Simply run them under the tap and watch them disolve!
Our signature finishing touch, the ‘sparkles’ that we pop inside our jewellery boxes are not only super pretty, but they are also kind to our planet. These little sparkles of joy are made from a fantastic renewable plant-based raw material called Cellulose which comes from the Eucalyptus tree. These sparkles are not made from plastic, and are completely biodegradable and ocean friendly. If you would like to keep them, we recommend collecting them up and storing them in a little jam jar until you have collected enough to decorate a home-made Birthday or Christmas card with, or your own home decorations/children’s artwork project. However, you can just sprinkle them into your plant pots if you wish, or pop them into your bath!
