Alyssa’s recommendations for unique UK staycations.
If you have been a member of our sparkly community for a while, you will likely be well aware of our founder Alyssa’s love for treehouses and renewing her creativity with time well spent in nature! With the weather improving and restrictions set to ease here in the UK, there really is no better time to relax and ground yourself in the great outdoors.
Treehouses take us all back to times of fairy tales and wonder, awakening the inner child in all of us! No matter your age, there is a truly magical experience to be had with one of these getaways. You really can’t go wrong with a treehouse! Since Alyssa spends a lot of her spare time searching for her next gorgeous little hideaway treehouse and we are always inundated with social media queries whenever Alyssa does go to one, we thought it would be lovely to share some of our favourite hideaways with you all!

The Treehouse, West Somerset
First things first we have ‘The Treehouse’, based in the incredible rolling hills of West-Somerset!
Alyssa found her visit to The Treehouse to be the perfect opportunity to unwind while dreaming up some fabulous new designs for our jewellery collection! In fact, she loves this one so much she is now planning her 3rd trip!
Alongside the stunning natural woodland scenery, The Treehouse comes complete with an indoor swimming pool and hot tub in the private grounds, making it the ideal luxury escape. Squirrels can be seen perching on the balcony and hiding in the tree which the treehouse is built around, and the little windy lanes and local bistro pub (a stone’s throw away) make this little retreat an absolute delight! The local cider and beer is also very yummy! This place gets very booked up indeed, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from a 5-star fairy light lit treehouse!
The Treehouse team also has some wonderful philosophies and sustainability practices which are so appreciated here at Team Alyssa!

Center Parcs Treehouses
With five stunning locations to choose from (Elveden, Woburn, Longleat, Sherwood and Whinfell), Center Parcs provides a totally unique family treehouse experience!
Hidden away in the centre of each location’s forests, the secluded, two-storey treehouses make for a unique visit to our UK woodlands, with all the access you could ever need to trails for hiking and biking.
Not only does time in nature help you get inspired and improve your mental health, but it can also really help you overcome creative blocks and get back to creating feeling lovely and refreshed! This is why Alyssa quite often chooses a treehouse to unwind in and take time away from the hustle and bustle of 24/7 work and town life.
Many of these stunning treehouses are fitted with games rooms and private outdoor hot tubs, allowing you to bring your childhood dreams to life! There is even an opportunity here for guests with limited mobility in a brilliantly innovative adapted treehouse at the Woburn location.
We always love a Center Parcs because you can just pop your bike in the car and take it with you to explore the grounds and get that extra bit of fresh air too!
