Let's dive straight in...
Here at Sparkle Towers, we wanted to share some of our all time favourite summer treat recipes so you can make them yourself at home and enjoy with us! This year’s weather has been giving us mixed signals but we won’t be letting that stop us from making delicious summer refreshers. The craving of ice lollies becomes more and more tempting when we approach the hot months. We absolutely adore all the different flavours which is why we thought we would give you all the freedom with this recipe. Feel free to add your own twist and don’t be afraid to be creative…all ideas deserve to been seen!
INGREDIENTS
- Edible flowers like Lilac, Redbud, Violet (can often be found in the cake section of supermarkets)
- Edible glitter (optional of course!)
- Home grown mint is the best, but supermarket mint will work just fine!
- Your favourite summer drink, like soda, lemonade, juice (for adult version, you can also add alcohol of your choice!)
- Popsicle moulds- You can purchase these everywhere however we managed to find some for you if you haven’t got one already. Click here and view a selection of affordable ones!
INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean the edible flowers, remove the greens, and make sure there’s nothing extra there (no one wants to have any surprise bugs in their popsicles!).
- Add the flowers to your popsicle moulds. If you want just some flowers for garnish, use only a few per mould. Some people don’t like eating a lot of flowers, but if you’re like us and you love them, you can use much more of them!
- Time to add your sprinkles! That’s right, go crazy with the sprinkles! There’s no such a thing as too much sprinkle!
- Pour the drink of your choice into the moulds. You can also use different drink versions for different moulds. Add the popsicle sticks.
- Put to the freezer to set for at least 3-4 hours. Enjoy on a hot summer day!
