House of Alyssa’s Steps to Sustainability: Tissue Paper and Trees!
As we embark upon the next chapter of our brand with the intention of continuing to grow (and fill even more areas of the globe with our sparkles!), we want to do as much as we can to make sure our future decisions are informed, and that the future of our lovely little company is sparkly and sustainable!
So, when we decided to finally take the plunge and have our own branded tissue paper created to wrap our gorgeous designs in, the ‘world’ was there every step of the way with our decision! We wanted to make sure the tissue paper we invested in for our company not only looked great for our customers (because first impressions really do count!) but was also environmentally responsible, too. Although lots of companies use italic foils to print their logos on their tissue papers (which do look amazing!) our gold print is more subtle and not foiled because of the special ink we use.
The branded ‘House of Alyssa Smith’ tissue paper we use is printed on FSC-certified paper using plant-based inks and is kept acid, lignin and sulphur-free to reduce the environmental impact, while ensuring a lovely colour and design. It is also 100% compostable and recyclable, while also being made from recycled materials too!
We wanted to go a step further still, so with every order that we place to manufacture our gorgeous, branded tissue paper, two trees are planted in areas which most need it, allowing us to make a real difference along the way.
Our fabulous new tissue paper was brought into circulation in Summer 2021, and we are looking forward to continuing to use it to carefully wrap your orders!
Our efforts in sustainability will continue as we aim to grow our little brand, and we are always looking for ways to do better and improve the people we are, and the brand we can be. We have come a long way in the last few years, but we still have a very long way to go as a business, as a country and as a world.
